-  to “John Varcoe the son of my Brother John Varcoe All that feather Bed ^furnished [see AP/V/841/2] that I usually sleep in to ^be taken and carried away immeaditly [immediately] after my Death”
-  to brother John Varcoe “all my wearing apparel”
-  to “my beloved wife [not named] all that Tenement and Premises called Mena Wollas Common together with the crops now standing on the premises and also the Cow and the Mare & Pigg and likewise the househould furniture (except before excepted)”
-  “As I have assured one of the lives on the before mentioned Tenement and Premises in One Hundred pounds and whenever the said assurance shall become due and payable on the death of the life I give unto my wife one half And the other unto my Executor And also annuity of Ten Pounds a year to be Paid out of my Tenement and Premises in Saint Dennis called Little Ennis during her natural life if my Interest in these Premises shall continue so long”

Statement sworn by William Truscott of St Dennis, yeoman, that he and James Grigg were witnesses to the will of Richard Varcoe on May 23 1846 and now having carefully viewed and inspected the said will and observed the word “furnished” interlined between the thirteenth and fourteenth line from the top of the said will was made before the execution of the will by the deceased.
