List of articles prohibited as imports or admitted conditionally
Articles prohibited or admitted conditionally / It is forbidden to import any of the goods indicated below without previously obtaining a licence from the relevant governmental authority and satisfying the relevant conditions. A licence must therefore be obtained before importing:1 Live animals such as birds, cattle, etc, except where they are accompanied by a certificate, which is still valid on the date of import, issued by the veterinary authorities of the country of origin certifying that the animals are exempt from disease. Dogs must be accompanied by a certificate of vaccination against rabies issued by the veterinary authorities of the country of origin and dated no less than six months previously to be valid at the time of import. Animals are also subject to veterinary examination at the place of import by the relevant authorities in Bahrain and are only admitted with the approval of these authorities.
