LIGHTS DIVES INTO HER COMIC BOOK PAGES WITH “SKYDIVING” VIDEO
First Issue of Comic Book Series – Skin&Earth #1 – out Now
Upcoming Appearances Next Week at Alternative Press Music Awards, San Diego Comic-Con
July 14, 2017 – Alt-pop phenomenon Lights has unveiled the video for “Skydiving,” a new song from her upcoming album Skin&Earth. The song is the follow-up to her recently released single “Giants,” and corresponds directly with Issue 1 of the album’s companion comic book series – Skin&Earth #1 – which is on sale now via Dynamite Entertainment. Just like the video for “Giants,” “Skydiving” brings to life the dystopian world featured in the comic book series, yet the “Skydiving” video goes a step further, interposed with behind-the-scenes glimpses into Lights’ creative process as she illustrates, colors and writes each comic book panel. Lights will be supporting the comic release at Comic-Con International 2017 next week, as well as appearing at Monday’s Alternative Press Music Awards.

In creating the immersive world of Skin&Earth, Lights actively worked on both the album and comic series concurrently – letting the music inspire the comic and vice versa.
