LICENSABLE ACTIVITIES AGREEMENT

Under the Licensing Act 2003, Chilcompton Village Hall holds a Premise Licence that enables the PROVISION OF REGULATED ENTERTAINMENT and the SALE BY RETAIL OF ALCOHOL.

Anyone hiring the hall facilities or wishing to operate a bar in the hall must ensure that they have read, fully understand and will comply with the operating schedule.

Anyone wishing to sale alcohol on the hall premises must have the express permission from the Chilcompton Village Hall Management Committee and must agree to the following conditions:-

  • To ensure that no sales of alcohol are made, by anyone, to persons under the age of 18 years.
  • To ensure that anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 25 years is asked to provide a valid photo ID in accordance with the Challenge 25 scheme.
  • To ensure that only genuine Passports, Driving Licences and government approved photo ID bearing the ‘PASS’ (Proof of Age Standard Scheme) hologram are accepted as proof of age.
  • To ensure that all refusals to persons under the age of 25 years or persons who are enable to provide acceptable photo ID as proof of age are recorded in the Refusals Register provided.
  • To ensure that no sales of alcohol are made to persons who either are, or appear to be drunk.
  • To ensure that no sale of alcohol is made to any person if it is suspected that the alcohol is intended to be, or will be supplied to either a person who is under the age of 18 years (see exception below) or a person who is drunk.
  • Children under the age of 18 can not drink alcohol on licenced premises unless:-

They are 16 or 17

Drinking beer, wine or cider

The drink is bought by an adult

They are eating a meal at a table with an adult

By signing this agreement the hirer is taking responsibility for every sale of alcohol made and will ensure that they fully understand and will comply with the Licensing Act 200, Chilcompton Village Hall’s operating schedule, the hire agreement and the conditions stated above. The Chilcompton Village Hall Management Committee (and other authorised agents acting on behalf of the Chilcompton Village Hall Management Committee) reserves the right to enter the premises at any time and to enforce closure of the bar if it is deemed necessary to uphold the licensing objectives.
