The Gloucestershire Scholarship will be awarded for each full-time student entering their first year (Level 4) of undergraduate study in 2017, studying on any of the courses mentioned above who has:
- accepted the University as their first/firm choice by 4 May 2017 and enrolled for the 2017/18 academic year
- achieved 128 UCAS points or more from a combination of their qualifications (according to the equivalences list used by the University of Gloucestershire)
To be eligible, the student must:
- be liable for the full tuition fees, currently £9250 for 2017/18. For up to date fees information please visit
- have successfully completed a full-time, further education course, lasting a minimum of one year, no earlier than academic year 2015/16
- not hold an equivalent or higher qualification i.e.the student must not already hold a qualification that is equivalent to or higher than the degree that the student will be undertaking
The field study options take place during the second year (Level 5) of the degree; therefore, to remain eligible for the Gloucestershire Scholarship contribution the student must pass all their first year modules before starting their second year (a minimum of 120 CATs points at Level 4). The contribution paid by the University is up to a maximum of £600 per student.
The international experience is optional. If a student chooses not take part, there will be no financial reimbursement.
Students will be required to take out travel insurance and make their own arrangements for subsistence costs including meals and refreshments.
The international experience is organised by the University of Gloucestershire and includes visits to university-approved locations and experiences only. The types of opportunities offered may vary and the University reserves the right to change the locations and opportunities as required.
Our field study options are planned so that they are accessible to all students, but the University reserves the right to withdraw a field study opportunity from a student on advice from a medical practitioner or other relevant professional, or on the grounds of student safety. If the student is unable to secure a relevant Visa, or are otherwise unable to meet official requirements for travel, they will not be able to take part in the international experience.
If the student changestheir degree course to another full-time course at the University of Gloucestershire mentioned within these terms and conditions, the Gloucestershire Scholarship Contribution can be transferred to a field study option on the student’s new course.
This offer is subject to availability and the University reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time.
Students studying on a franchised or validated course will not be eligible for the award (please contact if further information is required.)
A Gloucestershire Scholarship holder who transfers from full-time to part-time enrolment will cease to be eligible for the Scholarship.
A student deferring entry is not eligible for the Scholarship or unconditional upgrade.
The University will terminate the award for any student who ceases to be an enrolled student of the University of Gloucestershire, for whatever reason.
