- TEAM REGISTRATION*CLOSES ON FRIDAY,JUNE 13, 2014
- PLAYERS MAY BE ADDED TO ROSTER UNTIL AUGUST 10, 2014
- FEE IS $14 PER PLAYER (PLUS $3 USER FEE FOR TENNISLINK)
- COMPLETE PRE-REGISTRATION FORM (AVAILABLE ON LEXINGTON WEB) AND SEND TO YOUR LEVEL COORDINATOR NO LATER THAN JUNE 13, 2014
- COMBO DOUBLES SEASON WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF JULY 13, 2014 (possibly July 7) UNLESS THE NUMBERSOF TEAMS AND/OR COURT AVAILABILITY WARRANT A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT DATE.
*DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING A COMPLETE TEAM IS FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2014.
We cannot put your team in the schedule if you miss this date. A complete team isa minimum of 6 players consisting of three eligible teams. Also be aware that TennisLink will not accept a player without a USTA membership current through the combo season. Important: if a player is joining USTA for the first time or renewing (if not current through the current season), pleasehave him/her do so through TennisLink at the time of registration. This will allow him/her to register immediately.
The format for a Combo doubles team is (3) Combo doubles partnerships with a
minimum of 6 players per team. Your ratings may be any combination that is equal to
or below your playing level (with the exception of the 2.5 level where the maximum level of play allowed is 2.5).
Example: 6.5 level (2.5 + 4.0 players, as well as,3.0 + 3.5 players are both legal)
-The South Carolina Combo Doubles League program consists of team competition in
AGE GROUP 18 & OVER FOR MEN AND WOMEN at the following levels: 2.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5
All participants must reach 18 years of age during the calendar year in which they play their first local league match.

AGE GROUP 40 & OVER FOR MEN AND WOMEN at the following levels: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5
All must reach 40 years of age during the calendar year.

*A Match Tiebreak (first to 10 by a margin of 2)in the Coman procedurewill be used in lieu of a third set in allLocal League play, including Playoffs. The 7-point Tiebreak in the Coman procedure will be used when a set score is 6-6.
*Players who do not have a computer rating on file in TennisLink shall self-rate in
accordance with the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) guidelinesand completethe self-rating process on TennisLink when registering for a team. Failure to do so or omission of information regarding a player’s tennis history will subject the player, the captain, and/or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to penalties and disqualification.
*Once a player registers and pays fees on TennisLink, there will be NO REFUNDSof any fees paid.
*A player may play atmore than one NTRP level in eachAge Group in the same Local League during the same Season.
*A player may play at the sameNTRP level in the sameAge Groupon teams in separate Local Leagues in South Carolina during the same Season.
*Should a player be on multiple teams that advance to State Championships, the player may compete on only oneteam per Age Group (18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over, 65 & Over)atdifferent NTPR levels, but scheduling at state championships will not accommodate players with conflicting match times.
*Player’s name must be added to the team roster before the player’s participation in a
team match.
*Each player must play at least one match locally to qualify for further championship play.
*Either captain may enter the scores on TennisLink, but they must be entered and confirmed
or disputed within 48 hours or they will stand “as is”.
*Important: CAPTAIN’S INFORMATION FORM(see next page). Your Level Coordinator must have a copy of this in order to get in touch with you and include you in the Captain’s Directory on the web for other captains to be able to get in touch. The form is available on the webunder Combo League and can be e-mailed to your Level Coordinator. Please be sure to complete the form and return to your level coordinator by the June 13 deadline. See Level Coordinator list at the bottom of the form.

*Important Points You Must Be Aware Of Before Registering Your Team:
-You must secure home courts for your team PRIOR to registering the team on TennisLink. Do not assume that you can play at a certain facility – you must contact the facility and obtain approval and pay any court fees.
-Schedules will be published on TennisLink for you to download. Your Level Coordinator will contact you when they are available. All Local, State and Southern Rules will also be on the web for you to download. Please make sure all members of your team have a copy of the Schedule as well as the Rules.
-It is the captain’s, as well as, the player’s responsibility to know the rules. All matches scheduled must be played. Any team committing a “total team forfeit” will have a grievance filed against the team and all matches played and to be played will be null and void.
