This letter is to notify you that effective January 10, 2016IMI Precision Engineering- NAS will discontinue production of theSyron13865, SyronLTC38, and ISI UCMSL/VLMSLspring mount families (see images below).


Why the change? As part of our continuous improvement efforts to increase reliability and price competitiveness, we are transitioning customers to a newer and more cost-effective design of spring mount, theIMI NorgrenSMX family (image below). The SMX spring mount is capable of encompassing several different applications that were previously covered under multiple product lines. Attached is a list (Appendix I) with all parts being phased-out and the corresponding replacement part number with pricing information.

Last time buy. You have received this letter because you are a part of the very small group of customers that have purchased one of these soon to be obsolete products in the last 3 years. We recognize the impact that a part number obsolescence can have on your operation so we are offering you a last time buy option. The conditions of this last time buy offer are as follows:

Purchase orders cannot be cancelled or returned.

Date for last order acceptance: December 10, 2016

What will I need to change go to the SMX spring mount? In general the SMX spring mount is a direct replacement for previous spring mounts. Please contact our application engineers for assistance in reviewing your specific application and recommending the correct replacement components. Please feel free to contact your Key Account Manager to get a quote or arrange a meeting to develop planto replace your existing system. Feel free to also contact yourCustomer Service Representative () to request further information.
