Theme/Topic: greeting, nations, number,family
Goals (What should students know & be able to do by the end of the unit?):
●The students are able to use Chinese to greet each other.
●Students can say some nations in Chinese.
●Students can say the numbers from 1-10 in Chinese.
●Students will be able to say some family members out in Chinese.
Summative Performance Assessment: create at least 1 performance task for interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication

Week 3
Weekly Can-Dos for Students:
(at least 1 & no more than 3)
Reference pg. 24-36 / Students can say the numbers from 1-10 in Chinese.
Formative Assessment Tasks: / Let students draw the cards with numbers 1-10 and let students stand in a line. Then when someone says the number, the students with the step jump forward.
The teacher asks the students to work in pairs and try practicing asking the ages.

- Let students draw family member cards with character and pinyin on them. And then introduce them to the others.
- students draw a family tree of their own and then introduce it to their partner by using sentence patterns.
