RI-Compare and contrast the most important points and key details presented in two texts on the same topic.
·  RL.3.4/RI.3.4: 1. Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, distinguishing literal from nonliteral language.
2. Determine the meaning of general academic and domain-specific words and phrases in a text relevant to a grade 3 topic or subject area.

2.  Pop’s Bridge:
·  Crew: A group of people who work together.
·  Tide: The regular rising and falling of the surfaces level of the oceans, caused by the pull of the moon and the sun.
·  Cling: To stick or hold tight to.
·  Balancing: To put in a steady or stable condition.
·  Foggy: Full of, having, or covered by fog.

·  Spelling: Fill in the blank page 52 (reader’s notebook)
·  Phonics: Review of closed syllables (list of closed syllable words, white boards, projector, elmo)
·  Vocabulary: Write vocabulary words for reading skills (prezi, ipad, apple tv, projector)
·  Reading: Read story in pairs/groups, compare and contrast two characters from the story, share as whole group (textbook, graphic organizer)
·  Grammar: Review verb/helping verb (grammar/writing book page 117)
Wednesday Agenda:
·  Spelling: Proofread a paragraph page 55 (reader’s notebook)
·  Phonics: v-team syllables ai,ay,ee,ea (v-team words, white board, projector, elmo)
·  Vocabulary: Review game (vocabulary words and definitions, white boards)
·  Reading: Use compare and contrast paper to discuss how these characters build on sequence of events in story, fill in graphic organizer. (textbook, graphic organizer from previous day, story map graphic organizer (doc app, apple tv, ipad, projector, graphic organizers, textbook)
·  Grammar: Verb tense/subject-verb agreement (grammar/ writing book pages 122-128)
