15 minutes / Read text: Tutee will read selected text with appropriate scaffolding from tutor. Tutor will ask questions regarding text using Bloom’s Thinking Skills questioning stems.
Double Bubble Map: Tutee, with appropriate support from tutor, will complete ½ of a double bubble map emphasizing traits of one of the main characters in preparation to compare and contrast the characters.
Vocabulary Acquisition: Tutee and tutor will complete the vocabulary organizer for at least 2 words. / Tutee is building reading comprehension skills and strategies toward grade level achievement.
Build skills of character analysis and higher order thinking skills.
Increase vocabulary to increase reading comprehension.
