Warm-up
(5ms) / * Guessing Game:
- T. sticks some cards with the name of some animals on the board.& then divides the class into two groups.
- T. asks ss to pick out “what animals are often raised as pets at home?” + tiger/ cat/ elephant/ dog/ parrot/ monkey/ snake/ bear/ goat
- T. asks ss some questions to lead to the lesson:
a. Do you have a pet at home?
b. Do you love your pet?
c. Do you think that your pet loves you?
d. Have you ever read any book about pets? What do you think about it?
Today we will listen to a person presenting a book about pets that he has just read. / * Group-work.

- Listen to the teacher and practise pronouncing the words chorally and individually.

- T. asks ss to listen to the tape/ the teacher for the first time to check if their prediction is right or wrong.

2. Activity 2: Multiple choice ( Task 1 /page 125 textbook)
- T. asksss to work in pairs.
& then listen to the tape again before doing the task.
