Many places remain to be conquered. This is a significant list, so let's think about the situation just a little bit. Since battles have ceased, however, these peoples must be inhabiting the land but not fighting against Israel. Lack of open conflict, however, does not mean that peace has been made, that the remaining people are free to live in the land, or that there is not ongoing resistance to Israel.
