Achieve Award Folders- Ms. Cindy

■Bring Achieve Folders to meetings because we will go over our progress before meetings. We have Achieve Folders instead of point system in order to be well rounded.

Achieve Award Presentations- Angel U.

■If you did not attend the banquet then your award was presented to you by Angel U. If you did not attend the banquet and were not at the March meeting then contact Ms.Cindy about awards.

○Teen Retreat

■Teen retreat is March 16 & 17. If you attend the retreat it will count as attending a district event on you achieve plan.

County Activity Night

■County Activity Night will take place on May 14. Activity night is held in order to gain practice for district presentations. We would like everyone to participate in County Night, even if you do not plan on going on to District. This will count as your public speaking at the county level. All the regulations are found in the folder. You can do Public Speaking (no props) or presentation (props). You will have more competition with Public Speaking. If doing a presentation figure out your topic if you don’t know what category to put it in talk with Ms. Cindy and we will find you a category.

Work Day at Pollinator Garden Wednesday March 28th 4:00- 6:00 p.m

■Mackenzie R. will be the coordinator for this event so for more information contact Mackenzie R.

Online Enrollment- Ms.Cindy

■Ms.Cindy sent an email dealing with the online enrollment . You have to do it with a parent! The deadline is April 1st in order to continue being a part of 4H.

4H Youth Service Day- Ms.Cindy

■A partnership with the members of the Boy Scouts of America Occoneechee Council, NC FFA, Girl Scouts-NC Coastal Pines, and the Food Drive Kids. The purpose deals with youth serving their communities and meeting the challenge of 100,000 total hours served by all participants. The statewide day is May 12, 2018 but all service within April 1-July 1 will be taken into consideration. ●So come up with community service ideas for April (If outside of YC let us know) and from now to July.

Citizenship Focus

Rise Against Hunger Wrap Up- Ricah D.

■Organized meals for families, the goal was 25,000 meals but made around 28,000.

●Pros: Ricah realized how much she has because of the amount that a meal serves in family

●Cons: We need to split up for shifts because 2nd shift slowed down due to the amount of volunteers

Family Promise- Maddy P.

■We are going to try to collect paper products such as toilet paper, feminine products, ect. every even month starting on April. Maddy will send an email closer to the date.

Community Involvement: Community Awareness Committee

○Recruiting dates for Special Meetings

■Applications due April 16

■Interviews May 1 and 2

■Choose 12 recruits- General Meeting Thursday May 17(Special day due to County Council Activity Night)

■Have someone from RESPETO talk to St.Stephan

■Paulina will make a google sheet for sign up so we need people for different shifts.
