EAST DEAN AND FRISTON TREASURER:

We urgently need a new treasurer, and ideally perhaps an assistant treasurer as well. Indeed, the role is essential in order for the churches to function smoothly. The role requires:

  • a love for Christ expressed in regularSundayworship and regular personal prayer;
  • a basic competency in numbers and spreadsheets;
  • an understanding of the Christian view of money (ie that it is much more about stewardship and generosity than fund-raising);
  • a willingness to self-sacrificially give of yourself and the time involved;
  • precise details can vary according to who takes on the role - the other members of the finance sub-committee (Phill Hill, Peter Hewitt, me) would want to sit down with whoever is interested to chat through how it can be tailored for the circumstances and other existing commitments of that individual.

Please would you pray and speak to me or Phill or Peter Hewitt (or indeed Eric Greber or David Rooke) for more details without commitment at this stage.David
