CATEGORY 2: AMPLIFYING THE VOICES

AND

CATEGORY 3: PROMOTING REGIONAL FEMINIST AGENDAS

Applicant Criteria

The applicant criteria differs for each category based on the size of the organisation, the grant amount requested and the nature of the intervention. Please read the criteria carefully before finalising your proposal. The proposal format for both categories is the same.

  1. OrganisationalProfile: Please describe the key focus areas of work, issues being addressed, and major achievements in the last 5 years (200 - 300 words)
  1. Organisation Management: Name two key personnel who will provide direct oversight of the proposed work (name, designation and contact details)
  1. What is your organisation’s current annual budget? Please state your organisation’s Financial Year: example, April to March or January to December.
  1. List 5 key sources of income for the FY 2016-17 and 2017-18 (name of donor, amount and duration):

In three sentences each (between 300 and 400 words in total) state:

  1. Justification (why): why you are carrying out the program/activities, referring to the evidence of gaps, learnings from previous initiatives, needs assessments, research and/or evaluations
  2. Results (what): describe expected results
  3. Strategy (how): describe the actions you will take to achieve the intended results
  1. Problem/Issue analysis and Justification (400 -500 words): What issues do you seek to address? Has the situation deteriorated or shifted in the last three years? If so, what strategies will you implement to address this shifting context? Has the situation become better in the last three years? If so, what are the critical gaps that still need to be addressed?
  1. What is the theory of change(ToC) envisioned by your programme? (400 - 500 words). Please briefly give an overview of your vision, impact, outcomes, outputs, and strategies and how they are linked to one another. Please also provide a visual/diagram representation of the ToC.
  1. Project results (300 - 400 words): Briefly describe the results you expect to achieve.
  1. Describe how you expect to achieve the results outlined (500 - 750 words):Describe the strategies, methodologies, and activities you will use to attain the results proposed. Please include a time chart/table of the actions you will undertake in the grant period proposed.
  1. Who are your partners and why and how are you engaging them to achieve your objectives? (250 - 350 words): Please describe each partner, their expertise and reason for being included and their expected contribution to grant activities and expected results.
  1. Describe how you will apply a rights based approach to design and implement your interventions on addressing women’s human rights in your geographical area. (400 - 500 words)
  1. Please provide an overview of your Monitoring and Evaluation plan - methodology, tools and timeline (400 - 500 words)
  1. Provide evidence of your expertise and technical experience to carry out the initiative proposed. (250 - 350 words).
