Session Objectives:

To provide an overview of the importance and changing nature of the agricultural sector in Middle Tennessee
To identify the economic impact of agriculture in Robertson County, Middle Tennessee, and the state
To understand how fluctuating commodity prices and demand impact the region’s economy
To acquire knowledge of the production, economic impacts, and market trends for the tobacco industry
To identify what the Farm Bureau is and why we have the largest Farm Bureau in the US
To understand thecattle industry and the demand of beef production
To identify GMO food production benefits and disadvantages and the what is the latest research revealing
To be exposed to the aspects of agritourismand how the region is capitalizing on it
To understand the workforce needs and challenges of agriculture operations
