We are very proud of Mrs. Gail Anderson for also being named Livingston County’s Live Red Staff Member of the Month.

LCMS was featured as the SPOTLIGHT SCHOOL in the January 2015 issue of the Kentucky Coordinated School Health Newsletter. Another wellness story featuring LCMS made a national website, The Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

LCMS hosted the 4th District Governor’s Cup competition on January 17. The LCMS Academic Teamwon the Hume Sportsmanship Award. The LCMS Quick Recall Team finished in fourth place. The following students will progress to Regional Governor’s Cup.
Social Studies Written Assessment: Jack Howard finished in 3rd place, and
Quinton Gibson finished in 5th place
Science Written Assessment: Wyatt Jaco finished in 4th place, and
Alex Michonski finished in 5th place.
Language Arts Written Assessment: Samantha Rice finished in 3rd place, and
Emily Padon finished in 5th place.
Arts and Humanities Written Assessment: Samantha Rice finished in second place

*** Composition : Josey Tolley finished in 4th place at the district level & 2nd at the regional level; she is advancing to state competition.

Our second quarter Winter Awards Program was held on Thursday, Feb. 5. Many students were recognized. Please see our Facebook page or Twitter for pictures.

LCMS PTSO Goal Reward parties were held on Friday, Feb. 6. Dr. Henson was our DJ. The students had a great time. We appreciate Dr. Henson for volunteering his day to celebrate with us. Students were rewarded for meeting individual goals during the second quarter: 98% or higher attendance; report card grades of A’s, B’s, or C’s; and only positive behavior.

LCMS students have completed the Student Voice Survey. Each teacher was given his/her individual data and is using it to improve.

The Board Member Appreciation Luncheon was a huge success. We appreciate the Board members who took time off from their job to attend and provide us feedback. The students had enjoyable discussions with our Board members, and the staff is using the input that the students gave to improve teaching and learning.

LCMS teachers have conducted 186 unique face-to-face parent conferences as of February 4 (294 total conferences as we’ve met with some parents multiple times).

LCMS has 783.3 documented volunteer hours as of Feb. 4. Our goal is 1,200 hours.

LCMS attendance year-to-date is 94.89%. Our goal is 98% for the year.

LCMS has 178 followers on Twitter (LCMS_LiveRed) and has made 1,067 tweets.
