Professional Experience
1995-present / Director, Network Engineering, TIW, Montreal, Canada. Provision of engineering and IS/IT input into New Ventures team – worked on numerous projects in Europe and Asia. CTO for GSM start-up in CzechRepublic. (Please see attached list of current and recent projects)1997-1999 / Project Director, Nortel Networks, London, U.K.Senior position with responsibility for leading the project team on a total turnkey PCS network in the south and west of England. Responsible for network design (GSM 1800MHz), planning, implementation, procurement and final handover of built network to the operator.
1990-1997 / Senior Manager (Programme and Planning) One 2 One, UK. Various senior management positions responsible for coordinating and managing engineering projects; preparing engineering capital budgets and submissions to the Board of Directors; developing procedures for planning, scheduling and reporting of various engineering projects.

Current and Recent Projects
Eastern Europe. Various support projects in Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia involving the development of Business Plans for prospective new Licence opportunities. In-country investigations with prospective partners and shareholders and the resulting development of network solutions. Investigations into the use of Extended GSM band.
Taiwan, ROC. Support to prospective partner on the development of Business Plans and launch scenarios for prospective new Licence auction. Issue RFI for CDMA technology and assisted partner in developing both W-CDMA and CDMA 1X network solutions. Integrated network solutions with other company requirements and departments to unify capex and opex spend.
Western Europe. Provided all engineering inputs for Business Planning for W-CDMA and GSM opportunities in Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Belgium, Sweden, Italy amongst others. Provided engineering support to Tetra networks in UK, Germany and France for the development of the Tetra II standard (Edge).
CzechRepublic. Assisted the New Ventures team with all engineering inputs including capex and opex, leading to the acquisition of the third GSM Licence in October 1999. Led the engineering and implementation teams as the CTO from Licence award to technical Launch in January 2000. Led the procurement negotiations for the network infrastructure contracts (approx U$400m) and establishing the engineering and operations organisations.
