CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Laurentian Chapter of SETAC invites your abstracts for platform and poster presentations for the 22ndAnnual General Meeting. Scientists from academia, government, business and industry are welcome to submit abstracts on all aspects of environmental toxicology and chemistry.
ABSTRACT DEADLINE: May12th 2017
Abstract preparation
- MS Word; Font - Arial, 11 point, single-spaced.
- Indicate your presentation preference: POSTER or PLATFORM
- Word limit: 300 words, including title and authors.
- Title: in bold typeface, centered.
- Author and contact information, also centered:
- family name, given name for first author, normal order for remaining authors, assuming first author is presenter;
- underline the presenter’s name;
- use superscripted numbers (1, 2, 3) to denote different author affiliations, if necessary;
- E-mail: presenter’s address.
- Key Words: up to 4 key words, centered.
- Body of abstract – justified; no indentations; paragraphs separated by a blank line.
- For general formatting, see example on the last page.
- File Name: [last name_first initial] (example: Wallis_P.docx).
Platform and poster preparation
- Platform presentations are to be 15 minutes in length, followed by a 5-minute question and discussion period. PowerPoint presentations on CD/USB key are to be submitted to the AV Coordinator at the Registration Desk on the morning of the meeting.
- The programming decisions should be concluded by May19th, 2017 and you will be informed of when and where you present before the late registration deadline.
- Poster board dimensions are 4' high x 8' wide. Poster set-up will take place from 8:00 to 8:30 on the morning of the meeting.

- If you wish to be considered for Best Student Poster or Best Student Platform Presentation, please indicate “Student Presentation”and the level (B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in the information areaat the top of the abstract page.
- If you are also submitting an application for a Student Travel Assistance Award, you should clearly mark “Travel Assistance Requested” in the information area. Submission of an abstract with the registration form does not imply application for a travel award – you must complete and send the application form as well. See the appropriate box in the on-line registration form for instructions on how to apply.
