LANDSCAPE - KEY PLAYER AT SUN 2013
“L as in landscape” will propose three days of conferences, projections and exhibitions under the banner of the environment, the local area and urban sustainability.
New Gardens for the City Life will take the form of an international workshop dedicated to work for upgrading and realizing innovative projects in the context of green areas in an urban context
Rimini, 27th September 2013 – At SUN 2013 (6-8 October Rimini Fiera) the absolute key player will be landscape and its numerous facets.
“L as in Landscape” (South Foyer) is the event, promoted by Arspart and Assform, in collaboration with Rimini Fiera, Rimini Municipality and Rimini Province and featuring round tables, tasting sessions, and displays, including a graffiti by Eron and convivial moments intended to highlight the numerous facets of the “landscape system”:environmental protection, exploiting local areas’ identities, eco-sustainability of building and town planning, culture and cuisine.The event will be preceded by an event outside the expo which, on 4th and 5th October 2013, will animate Rimini’s old town centre with happy hours, concerts and tasting sessions which will have as their key player Romagna’s “Piadina”, distributed free on this occasion to celebrate its attainment of PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status.Lastly, thanks to the restaurants taking part in “Paesaggi nel piatto” (The landscape on a plate), from 4th to 13th October 2013, the combination of landscape and cuisine will be highlighted with the preparation of typical local dishes, in which local products will be cooked maintaining the culinary skills and flavours of old to an unusual mouth-watering insight on the area in question.
“New Gardens for the City Life” (HallA3) is the name of the international workshop dedicated to upgrades and the realization of innovative projects in the context of landscaped and natural urban areas, organized with Paysage – Promotion and Development of landscape architecture.The event will consist in the creation of a virtual square-garden, set up in an area of over 500 square metres in the GARDEN Sun expo area and key players hosted will be international speakers and landscapers specialized in conceiving spaces focussed on wellness and functionality in Europe’s major capitals.The topics of the 2013 edition dedicated to “Landscape for tourism 2.0” include City Play (spaces for playing, from playgrounds to over-65 facilities), Slow Landscape (from farmhouse vacation landscape to camping landscape), Sea – Shore (the Mediterranean coast and landscape for quality tourism), Hi – Quality (high quality landscape production:Italian plants in the world) and Sport Landscape (landscape for sport, a new resource for living a combination of relaxation and health).
