Psych Challenge 25pts

Choose one of the following activities, look over the websites listed to get ideas (check my website for links you can click), make a plan, carry it out on at least 5 people, and prepare a 1-2 minute oral presentation with the highlights and a visual aid.

  1. Break a social norm. (Social norms or mores are the rules of behavior that are considered acceptable in a group or society. People who do not follow these norms may be shunned or suffer some kind of consequence. Norms change according to the environment or situation and may change or be modified over time)

  1. Commit random acts of kindness. (People tend to be more skeptical of kindness but indifferent to hate)

Presentation Date: ______NO LATE CHALLENGES!*

Presentation Requirements:

Your presentation must last between 60-120 seconds. I will time you.

You must come prepared and bring a visual aid. If the visual aid will be computer-dependent either bring the file on a flash drive or email it to me. Make sure there are no technical problems in advance.

Your presentation must be interesting and insightful and include:

  1. What you did.
  2. How you felt.
  3. How others responded.
  4. Additional insightful comment (Why is this a social norm? Is it good or bad? Is this a norm that will change? Etc…)

********Additionally graded on:

  1. Respectful while others present
  2. Eye contact while presenting
  3. Knowledge of own topic
  4. Preparedness
