1.Identifyand adoptthespecific technical standard(s)LPS will use to determine whether online contentis accessible.

Definition

“Accessible” means aperson witha disabilityis afforded the opportunityto acquire the same information, engage in the sameinteractions,and enjoythe same services as aperson without a disabilityin an equallyeffective and equallyintegrated manner, with substantiallyequivalent ease ofuse.A person with a disabilitymust be able to obtaintheinformation as fully, equally, and independentlyasa person withouta disability.Although thismight not resultin identical ease of use comparedto that ofpersons withoutdisabilities,it still must ensure equalopportunityto the educational benefits and opportunitiesafforded bythetechnologyand equaltreatment inthe useof such technology.
