Lake Ridge Academy Ski and Snowboard Club 2014
Are you looking forward to the snow on the mountain? Enjoy Riding and Skiing with your Lake Ridge friends? Want to learn how to ski or Please join us for the Middle School ski/snowboard club. The ski/snowboard club is for Middle School students to learn and enjoy the sport of skiing or snowboarding.
Ski club announcements have begun and registration began today. Registration will be online. There is room for the first 30 students to join. The cost of the lift tickets and lessons will be handled on-line this year, directly by Boston Mills/Brandywine. We will meet on five Saturday mornings during January and February. We will ski on the following dates:1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, and 2/8/14. Please note that we will begin skiing on the Saturday before school begins in January, and will not ski on Martin Luther King weekend. We will travel to Boston Mills from Lake Ridge Academy at 7:30am each Saturday and be on the mountain for 3 ½ hours (9:00- 12:30 pm). Each student must be picked up at Lake Ridge Academy by 1:15pm when the bus returns from BM/BW.
Students will take an hour lesson each Saturday, and have free ski/snowboard time for another
2 ½ hours. Each skier is allowed to ski where their ability level permits. In addition, students receive two free tickets to use to ski at BM/BW on their own, whenever they would like.
The total cost to participate in ski/snowboard club will vary depending on whether the student has his/her own equipment. The cost this year is $159.00 for students who own equipment, and $222.00 for students that need to rent equipment. This fee will need to be paid on-line directly to BM/BW. An additional fee of $60.00 for bus transportation must be charged by Lake Ridge Academy to sponsor the program. Please send a check for $60.00 (to pay for bus transportation) to the middle school office after you have registered online.
Student Registration forms must also be filled out, and are due with a check for $60.00 made payable to Lake Ridge Academy, by November 15th. Students who complete all registration and pay all fees by November 15 will receive their free passes in time to use them over the winter holiday.
