Call to Order / By E. Wacaster at 4:00 pm
Approval of minutes from last meeting / Motion made by A. Calhoun, seconded by A. Hankerson. Minutes approved.
Principal’s Report / Staffing – FSL position open and Front Desk Clerk position open while Mrs. Reyes is on FMLA leave. There will be a substitute at the front desk for the rest of the year.

Title I Plan Discussion
Comments / The Title I Plan was reviewed.
No comments
Title I Budget Discussion
Comments / There is $700 left in the sub budget that is needed for additional areas. Dr. Roberts is asking that $200 be transferred to cover the cost of FSL travel, $300 be transferred to cover the cost of pizza for Science Night, and $200 be transferred to cover the stipend for teachers Summer Writing.
·  A. Calhoun made a motion to approve the transfers, seconded by A. Hankerson.
Title I Parent Involvement Plan Discussion
Comments / The Title I PIP for 16-17 plan was reviewed.
Parents (K. Bridges, A. Hankerson, A. Calhoun, K. Carter, J. Necco) commented that they enjoyed the school’s events this school year and would like the school to host some of the same events again in 17-18.
Title I Parent Involvement Budget Discussion
Comments / The Title I Parent Involvement budget was reviewed.
Parents (K. Bridges, A. Hankerson, A. Calhoun, K. Carter, J. Necco) agreed that some Title I funds be used for TA’s in the classroom.
Title I Compact Discussion
Comments / The current Compact was shown on the projector for everyone to read and review.
·  A. Calhoun commented, “Rimes needs to send the Title I compact home in January as a reminder to parents to follow the signed compact.
·  A. Calhoun mentioned to add to the compact:
1. “An excuse note must be sent to school following a student’s absence.”
2.”Faculy, staff and students need to respect students with special needs.”
A revised copy of the Compact will be presented to the SAC for approval at the next SAC meeting.
