Dear 7th & 8th grade band students:
I hope you have had an enjoyable and restful summer. It is time to start preparing for another exciting and successful year as a member of the Lake Belton Band.
Summer band classes for 7th & 8th grade students will be held July 31- August 8 in the Lake Belton band room. All 7th & 8th graders will rehearse from 1:30-3:00. Please make plans to attend now. If you are attending an athletic camp that week, please come in to band camp when you are finished. We have been invited to perform at TIGER CAMP on Aug 11. This only gives us 7 rehearsals before our first performance of the year. Please make sure to look over the music we gave you last May, before summer band begins, and make sure to bring those songs to Tiger Camp. Start getting your fingers and lips in shape and make sure you have your uniform pants/shoes, and required materials (posted on the LBMS website under the band tab). The link is at the bottom of this page. The official band polo has been ordered and you may pay for it during summer band. The polo will be $25; checks can be made out to LBMS Band. Our performance with the Marching 100 is very early in the year. Don’t wait until the last minute to get your uniform and supplies.
I will be at Lake Belton MS on Friday, July 28 from 5:30-6:30 to issue school instruments. The fee for using a school horn is $100. Checks can be made out to BISD
Please make plans now to attend summer band. We need all of you there so we can get ready for Tiger Camp on August 11 at 3:00 pm. We are also planning a summer band social activity after summer band
