7C Capital improvement updates:

Engineering for HVAC systems – Have contacted Schneider Electric to review our options and needs. David Palmer will be providing a report for the next board meeting in February.

7D FFA – Recognition at the community level for our National Marketing Team winners. Need ideas from community.

7E Sports COOP – meeting on February 18 at Kahlotus at 7:30. Scheduled a work session on February 5 at 5:00 to further discuss athletics.

7F Eastern Washington Quality School Coalition –Consultant Marie Sullivan, will be reporting to the coalition all legislative actions being taken this session. Currently 26 districts have joined.

7G Class of 2016 Hawaii trip – Don Kemper and Codi Titus will be chaperones.

Student and School Programs

8A Principal Report

Coding Camp – The first computer coding camp for 6-9th graders will be on Wednesday, January 20. The class is sponsored by the Whitman County Library.

ASB – I will be taking a group of 5-8th graders to a middle School Leadership conference on February 10.

The new semester began today and students may make changes to their schedule in the next three days.

We are beginning to review the current textbooks we are using. I will be surveying the teachers for current textbooks and materials. Then we will begin to determine if new textbooks and materials may be warranted.

Friday, January 22 Codi Titus and Jenessa Klaveano will be leading a field trip for all of our female students in the 7-12th grades. It is a leadership conference at EWU called the Inland Northwest Female Summit.
