Responsibilities:

  • Check detailed design(drf) map of SAM to locate pits and addresses served by particular pit.
  • Confirm the size of pit, condition of pit and lids, devices in pit, dentify all lead-in cables and conduits to the premises.
  • Confirm and identify with visual inspection, any discrepencies in component type such as optical hub, amplifiers, splitters, directional couplers, taps, power inserters, splice blocks.
  • Identify the number of premises within an MDU from the street or letter box.
  • Identify how the MDU is fed like route of lead-in, location and distance where visible from outside or from where accessible.
  • MDU survey for HFC.
  • Working with Rod & Roping crew to identify the existing ducts condition- ok, blockage, congestion.
  • Use of softwares like PICS, ADVAL, pdfmap, F5 edgeclient, Bluebeam.
