KOTA Radio General Contest Rules
From time to time this station will conduct contests, both on-air and web-based. KOTA Radio has established a set of general contest rules.
At times, special contests and promotions may require the establishment of a separate set of rules.
Here are our general contest rules:
- Participants in a KOTA Radio promotion, resulting in a prize or award, must be 18 years orolder to win, unless otherwise specified.Satisfactory proof of identification and age may be requested before the awarding of any prize.
- A person cannot enter on behalf of another person.
- Some prizes have restrictions, or expiration dates and do not include gratuities.
- The odds of winning any contest depend upon the number of participants, the nature of entry and the nature of each contest.
- Unless otherwise indicated, all prizes are to be claimed at the KOTA Radio offices at 518 St. Joseph St., Rapid City, SD during regular office hours of 8am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
- You are limited to one winner per household during any 30-day period. The radio station limits the winning of major prizes to once every 12 months.
- KOTA Radio is not responsible for lost or delayed mail or email, for telephone or fax equipment failures, or for email system malfunctions causing a contestant tolose or delay the chance to participate.
- Rules for contests will be explained during KOTA Radio on-air programming. Rules for more complex contests will be available at our web site and at our offices during regular business hours.
- Employees of Duhamel Broadcasting Enterprises and persons, companies or organizations involved with providing the prize or award, orthe immediate families of such employees, persons, companies, etc. arenot eligible to participate or win.
- Winners are responsible for any and all taxes associated with winning the prize. Winners will need to sign a W-9 form, provided by KOTA Radio, before receiving any prizes valued at over $600.
- Participants must be US citizens for prizesvalued at$600 or greater, unless otherwise specified.
- Prizes have no cash equivalent and are not transferable.
- KOTA Radio reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value in its sole discretion, either before or after a winner has been selected.
- KOTA Radio management will have sole discretion to decide any questions concerning the interpretation ofrules governing the promotion and the administration of any promotion, and such decisions shall befinal.
- In the case of a tie, KOTA Radio reserves the right to choose the winner by any method it deems appropriate.
- KOTA Radio reserves the right to reject or discard any incomplete or confusing entry and any entry not submitted in accordance with promotion rules.
- No promotion, promotion rules, or explanations thereof shall be construed or implemented in any way which violates applicable laws and regulations, including FCC rules and regulations.
- By participating, winners grant permission for their voice and telephone call to be recorded and re-broadcast for promotional use on the radio station.
- Submission of an entry or response shall constitute acceptance of the promotion rules and a waiver of any and all claims against KOTA Radio and Duhamel Broadcasting Enterprises.
- No purchase is necessary to enter.
- The radio station reserves the right to amend or change the above rules at anytime as well as end a contest at anytime. All decisions of station management with regard to the awarding of prizes, the selection of winners and the interpretation of these rules shall be final. Each contestant by virtue of entering a station contest agrees to accept the decision of the station as final.
