Kiwanis Guiding Principles
Our Mission
Kiwanis is a volunteer organization dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Our Motto
Serving the Children of the World

Six Objects of Kiwanis

  • To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
  • To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
  • To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
  • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
  • To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
  • To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.

Kiwanis

We are looking for people who specialize in the impossible, people who see things and ask why, dream things that never were, and say why not!

Who We Are

  • We are men and women interested in learning about and serving our Tri-Cities’ community. We also believe that through Kiwanis, we are better able to fulfill our personal needs related to family, spirit, and job.
  • We represent a broad diversity of backgrounds, with a common interest in community service. While many of our members are busy with their professional and family responsibilities, they find that extra time and energy needed to be of service through our many Kiwanis projects. About a third of our members are retired, but remain involved in volunteer activities utilizing their unique skills and interests including their Kiwanis service. Women make up 50% of our membership.
  • The Tri-Cities Industry (TCI) Club is one of six Kiwanis clubs in the Tri-Cities area, each with its unique areas of service to our community. See
