STAFF NEWS
A warm welcome to Marlene our new Practitionerworking with us on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Marlene is excited to work alongside the children and parents of our club!
WHATS BEEN HAPPENING IN THE CLUB:
We have introduced a strategy to promote positive behaviour within the club. We now have a ‘Gumball Machine’ which allows the children to work together as a team to add gumballs as and when they make good choices. When the gumball machine is full the children will be rewarded with a party or a new resource/toy for the club. This has been working well with great feedback being given
CHANGE OF CLOTHING
At the club we like to have the children outdoors exploring their environment coming in to contact with natural resources especially water, grass and mud!
We therefore suggest providing your child with a ‘Simply Play Kit Bag’ which contains a change of clothing and shoes suitable for all weathers to prevent your child from damaging their school clothes whilst at the club.We understand that a change of clothing may not always be possible and in these circumstances we will do our best to keep your child clean and comfortable.
** Whilst at East Calder Club during the holidays your child will require indoor shoes for use of the large hall. This is the requirements of the Community Centre’s Management themselves.**
