Year 6 Careers event

Part of our vision for excellence at Kingsbury Green is to help pupils aspire and think about their future – to “Aim High”. To help them do this we held our first ever careers event this week. Local people talked to the children about their jobs and careers and their route through school, college or other means to this position. The children met an architect, a teacher, company managers, a flight attendant and business woman, software designers, people who had turned their hobbies and passions into a business, a landscape gardener, a legal executive and a TV productioneditor.
Every story was an interesting one to the children who asked fantastic questions. They all said they realised that why their parents “reminded them about working hard at school” following the session. Our visitors also commented that children asked very mature and thoughtful questions.
Our thanks go to these guests of course and to Ms Wright who co-ordinated such a wonderful opportunity for the children.

Music concert
Congratulations to our Choir and Music Ensemble who entertained parents and pupils at our music concert yesterday. Children had put in a great deal of effort into their performance and the quality as ever, was superb.
