KHBC Board Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

Joe Vodovnik called to order the monthly meeting of the KHBC Board at 8:06 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013, at BIG. The February 2013 minutes were approved with the correction of Jerry Garcia changed to Jenny Garcia.

Committee Updates

· Finance - Lisa Lansdale

The revised profit & loss document was distributed. Developmental coordinator expenses were added. Team managers have been asked to turn in team checkbooks so final billings can be sent out. Coaches will need to have a signed W-9 on file at the start each season.

· Ice - Renee Johnson (absent)

Fourteen hours of ice has been secured for the summer Bantam program. Richfield will be setting up time for Pee Wees and Squirts on Sunday evenings as well.

· Equipment - Garrett Smeltzer

Team managers need to turn in their bins. New jerseys should be ordered by late July to be set for fall.

· Communications - Tammy Barnum (absent)/ Rachel Carlson (absent)

Please check the website often for updates. The proposed ballot will be posted.

· Hockey Development - Dave Miller (absent)/ Paul McCullen (absent) / Justin Arnold (absent)

No new news.

· Guidelines - Kris Trenary (absent) / Matt Walton

Spring work will be done with waivers and guidelines. Anything that needs to be added should be sent to Matt.

· Tournaments - Margaret Brandt / Sarah Magnuson

No new news.

· Revenue - John Gonyea (absent) / Julie Deutsch / Mike Broveleit

Everyone is encouraged to start acquiring sponsors for next season, now. Craig Trenary will be joining the Revenue Team. The KHBC raffle is moving forward and will be set to go for fall.

· Registration - Lisa Christensen

No new news.

· BAHA - Joe Vodovnik

No new news. Tournament revenue will be arriving soon.

· D6 - Drake Dietz

MN Hockey is looking to get a waiver for mites for cross-ice play for D6 (1/2 ice up to 1/1, then full ice after).

· Mites - Mike Broveleit

Mite jamboree was great. Mites will be following the same schedule as last year for recruiting – Heritage Days, 3 fall Intro to Hockey Skates, may not do the Richfield parade, however.

● Richfield Co-op – Joe Vodovnik /Carin Folk

New Business

The end of the year survey for parents will be sent out in March. The players have already filled them out and turned them in.

Old Business

The yearly board elections will take place April 9th, 2013.
