To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to fully endorse Susan Fox. When it comes to educating students with a curriculum that connects with today’s students and allows them to pursue courses of study that will bring a passion to their learning experience, nobody is better than Mrs. Fox.

I know this first hand. Five years ago I participated in Mrs. Fox’s pilot internship program at Hatboro-Horsham High School my senior year. At the time, I was just beginning to take a serious interest in sports broadcasting. Other than broadcasting a couple basketball games a month with no feedback, I had no real way of doing more and decide if this was just another hobby or a viable future. Mrs. Fox’s internship program, which was experimental then and has grown into a staple of the student experience at HHHS, changed my entire perspective.

I worked one-on-one with a former local TV anchor writing, shooting, and editing stories. That experience gave me the resume to get into Syracuse University’s renowned Newhouse School majoring in Broadcast Journalism and eventually land me full-time jobs covering Oregon Ducks football (currently the #1 team in the country) at KEZI-TV and continue broadcasting college basketball games for ESPNU all over America.

Mrs. Fox’s learning process was revolutionary for me. During the internship, Mrs. Fox constantly reminded me to relate what I learned back to previous exercises and never devalue how it could be beneficial in the future. My entire library of networking skills, whether it’s working potential sources for a story or staying in touch with potential future employers, has come exclusively from Mrs. Fox.

How many 23-year-olds do you know that would take the time to write a letter of recommendation for one of their high school teachers? I was the youngest person to ever broadcast a game for ESPN. Hire Susan Fox.

Sincerely,

Steve Andress
