Description of the project
The Municipality of Trissinois proud to invite you to the Youth Exchange “War & PEACH” within the framework of Erasmus+, related to social inclusion and migration, also related to the theme of war. The focus is to create a multicultural environment where people will be able to share their experiences and knowledge.
Together, participants will recall stories of their relatives who emigrated in the past because of wars and poverty and make a comparison with the life of migrants in the present.
Travelling through migration in the past to better understand the present,
to make a better future.
Objectives:
▪To deal with stereotypes and prejudices, promoting equal opportunities.
▪Encouraging solidarity through creativity and non-formal education.
▪To increase young people’s awareness of migration and social problems, encouraging their active participation in these emergencies in their countries.
▪Transmitting the social concept to new generations, in order to sensitise youth awareness of its development and enrichment, so that youth can play an important role in the process of cultural growth and exchange between civilisations.
▪Meeting with witnesses to understand their experiences.
▪Meeting with local young people (through non formal activities like interviews, games flashmobs, etc) to investigate their feelings regarding migration and to involve them in some participation activities (e.g.: a multicultural dinner, “the role game” and story telling).

Day 2 / Histories of wars and people: Workshop on video making to prepare the final exhibition – it will be held also day 6 and 7.
The migration from Africa: meeting with Association “Incursioni di Pace”
Day 3 / First World War’s places: visit to Monte Pasubio and the 52 tunnels
Day 4 / Role playing on migration: interactive activity about migratory flows
Day 5 / History Fair. Each national group will share the history of his country.
Day 6 / Meeting with some people who are seeking international protection hosted in Vicenza province within “Terraferma” project.
Day 7 / ELLIS - A Film by JR, with Robert de Niro.

Participants
We expect 5 participantsaged 17-26 + 1 youth leader (no age limits) from each partner.
▪Young people who are interested in the topic, motivated, with a proactive attitude.
▪People who are willing to share their experience of the topic and are willing to learn and grow.
People with a migration story (particularly family members) are very welcome.
Accommodation
During the Youth Exchange participants will be lodged in a big holiday house, Casa S.S. Trinità, the hills of Montecchio Maggiore - Vicenza (Italy, of course!),a town near Trissino.
Keep with you sleeping bags or sheets and all facilities for the toilets.
In the house there isn’t internet connection, but we will provide a WIFI station. So the connection could be not so stable (be aware of that).
Financial conditions:
All accommodation and food costs will be covered mostly by project. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the distance band fixed by the European Commission.You will receive back your travel costs up to the amount stated by the European Commission according to the distance band (see the table below), by giving us all your tickets and bills related to the travel. The reimbursement will be paid ONLY by bank transfer after receiving al the original tickets.
