Job Title: Project Driver

Reports to:Test Supervisor

Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Test Supervisor, perform testing on durability test vehicles according to customer tests specifications. Provide support to assist our customers obtain their goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive vehicles and perform all assigned tasks recognizing Safety as a primary objective and personal responsibility
  • Drive and work safely and courteously at all times, obeying all traffic laws and any other rules, procedures, and special instructions per customer and Kett supervision
  • Perform job duties with a high level of integrity, ensuring reliable test data and information
  • Prepare accurate Durability Road Test Driver Reports in a concise, clear and properly formatted manner
  • Develop the necessary skills to formulate professional and informational comments as reported on Durability Road Test Driver Reports
  • Accurately complete a Kett Driver Daily Time Card and all appropriate paper work
  • Perform other related driving/vehicle prep work as required, including vehicle shuttling, detailing, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required by customer and Kett supervision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess thorough knowledge of schedules and procedures as trained in accordance with customer standards
  • Effectively maximize the use of time on a daily basis
  • Report to work prepared; knowledgeable of the customer’s requirements, familiar with all policies and procedures and focused on professionalism and customer satisfaction
  • Function as a member of the Kett and DPG teams; contribute to a positive work environment by developing open lines of communication, cooperating to achieve a common goal and instilling trust and credibility
  • Act as a mentor to other drivers if assigned to do so

Job Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Basic math and spelling skills required.

Skills/Experience: Must have three years licensed driving experience. Basic knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures. Ability to drive an automatic and/or manual transmission vehicle. Must meet all criteria as established during training, resulting in successful completion of the training program and certification. Must be available to work any shift.

Physical Requirements: May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6 – 8 hours on a daily basis. Must be able to pass a DOT physical and a (Forensic Hair Follicle) drug screen.
