Kenneth D. Denny, 36, Peru, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006 at DukesMemorialHospital. He was born on January 10, 1970 in Logansport to Simon Junior and Maxine D. (Wooten) Denny. Denny first married Brenda Achey Denny, later marrying Melisa R. (Ramos) Denny on March 3, 2006 in Logansport, and she survives. He worked as a construction worker for Atlas Construction.
The 1988 LewisCassHigh School graduate was a member of the Local 274 in Lafayette, and enjoyed cooking. He had served as the Lewis Cass Powder Puff Girls Softball Team at one time. Aside from his wife, Denny is survived by his father in Logansport; two daughters, Brittany N. Denny, and Bailey N. Denny; one son, Christian D. Denny; four brothers, Michael P. Denny and wife Susanne, Hanhan, South Carolina, Keith A. Denny and wife Debra, Plainfield, Timothy M. Denny, Logansport, and Simon Denny III and wife Ann, Logansport; one sister, Patsy Y. Denny, Fort Wayne; one sister-in-law, Romina R. Benavente, West Palm Beach, Florida; friend, Josh; and three special cats, Timotea, Duqueza, and Star.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Marocco Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Pastor Keith Schreffler of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Ever-RestMemorial Park, CassCounty. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

Hubert ‘Huey' Carl Bowman, 77, Walton, passed away at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1929 in CassCounty to Samuel Phillip and Mildred (Cart) Bowman. On August 8, 1955 Bowman married Marjorie ‘Ducky' Sadler, who preceded him in death on January 6, 2005. Bowman was a retired farmer, as well as worked at the 18th Street Elevator. He was a member of the Walton American Legion Post #418. Bowman had served in the United States Army during World War II. Bowman is survived by one son, Samuel Elvin Bowman and wife Sue, Logansport; two daughters, Lisa Gibbs and husband Rick, Logansport, and Anita Bowman, Williamsburg, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Amanda Shelton and husband Rick, Logansport; twin brother, Herbert Bowman and wife Marianne, New Waverly, five other brothers, William Bowman and wife Mary, Logansport, Ron Bowman, Logansport, Gerald Bowman, New Waverly, Richard Bowman and wife Sondra, Logansport, and Larry Bowman and wife Wilma, Burnettsville; two step-great-grandchildren, Justin Shelton and Matthew Shelton, both of Logansport. Aside from his wife, Bowman was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Marion Bowman, Truman Bowman, Raymond Bowman, Victor Bowman, and John Bowman; and one sister, Janice Holmes. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Mike Stow officiating, at Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport. Burial will be at Ever-RestMemorial Park, CassCounty. Faye Tomlinson, 97, Kokomo, formerly of MiamiCounty, passed into eternity at WindsorEstatesHealthRehabCenter on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007. She was born May 13, 1909 in MiamiCounty to Ora W. and Edith (Goodwin) Childers. In 1928 she married Floyd Puterbaugh, and he preceded her in death in 1932. In 1934 she then married Verlin Tomlinson, and he preceded her in death in June of 1971. Faye was a homemaker, enjoyed the outdoors and took pride in her garden and flowers. She was a lovable person and will be missed by her family and friends. Before her health failed, she attended the Senior Citizens and was active in the Santa FeCommunityChurch. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Rayl and husband Robert E., Kokomo; a brother, John Childers and wife Margaret, Peru; two grandchildren, Kathy Wright and Brenda Keegan and husband Mike, all of Kokomo; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters, a brother, one son who died in infancy, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Santa FeCemetery, Santa Fe. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Laird Funeral Home, Amboy.

Kenneth E. Ammerman, 79, Peru, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at his residence. He was born Oct. 25, 1927 in Peru to Joseph and Viola (Hight) Ammerman. He married Betty A. Tomes in 1949, and she survives. Ammerman graduated from PeruHigh School in 1949, and retired from Square D Company. He also was a member of ParkviewUnitedMethodistChurch, a lifetime member of the Peru Maennerchor and an avid softball player.
Survivors besides his wife include a son, Dana Ammerman and wife Charlotte K., Peru; two daughters, Janet Vinopal, Peru, and Tracy Ammerman, Orange County, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kellie Brooks, Bunker Hill, Dana A. Ammerman and Melissa Howell, both of Peru, Shannon Fleck, Wabash, and Brooke Price, Peru; 12 great-grandchildren; and a special pet, Kasper. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn Taff.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at ParkviewUnitedMethodistChurch, 1785 State Road 19, Peru, with Pastor Kenneth Walker and the Rev. J. Robert Clark officiating. Bonnie Michelle Midget Hinkle, 47, Peru, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at her residence. She was born Aug. 19, 1959 in Kokomo to Benny Midget and Helen (Coleman) Cunningham. She married David M. Hinkle Sr. June 1, 1991, and he survives. Hinkle graduated from HaworthHigh School in 1977, and had worked for PPG Industries for 17 years. She also attended LordsFellowshipChurch. Survivors include her mother in Peru; two sons, David M. Hinkle Jr. and Joshua JL Hinkle, both of Peru; a daughter, Natasha N. Everling, Tipton; two brothers, Jimmy Midget, Florida, and Bob Banter, Kokomo; two sisters, Marcia Mudd, Florida, and Jackie Ringuette, Kokomo; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and her step-father, Floyd Cunningham. Robert Dale Anderson II, 52, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006. He was born May 12, 1954 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson I. Survivors include three children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Doty, Danville, Erika (Anderson) Miles, Peru, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Demoin Anderson, Peru; nine grandchildren; and a sister and brother, Barbara and Ronald, who both live out of state. Essie R. Malott, 85, Converse, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 2, 2007. She passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at MarionGeneralHospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1921 in Marion to the late Verne and Alice (Sowash) Feller. She graduated from SweetserHigh School, and on Feb. 8, 1942 she married J. Mark Malott, who survives. Essie was a homemaker and had worked at First Farmers Bank and Trust in Converse for 43 years. Essie was a member of the Christ Crusaders Sunday School class, Tuesday Morning Bible Study, Miriam Circle and the Senior Saints. She also was a member of the Converse Church of Christ for more than 60 years. She volunteered and enjoyed many activities throughout her lifetime. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kathy Kendall and husband Mike, Converse; a son, Kenny Malott and wife Laurie, Morristown, Tenn.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Betty Lou Maple and Peggy Feller.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Weldon Feller; and sister, Nina Colescott. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Converse Church of Christ, 301 E. Wabash St., Converse, with Pastor Robert Miller officiating.

Ryan Wrigley Parmeter, age 2 1/2, of Thatcher, Arizona was born August 31, 2004 and passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2006. During his life he touched the lives of many people with his intelligence, energy and vibrant personality. He could be found on Wednesday and Saturday nights on the campus of EasternArizonaCollege, following his dad's Gila Monster basketball team. Ryan's unique middle name was given due to his father's love and affection for the Chicago Cubs. A gift of pure joy, he touched many lives and was loved by all who knew him. Charles "Bud" Wallick, 80

Charles "Bud" Wallick, 80, of Peru, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at 11:20 p.m. at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. He was born on Dec. 4, 1926 in Peru to Charles S. and Viola (Rabe) Wallick. He married Dorothy (Johnson) Wallick in Peru on June 2, 1953, and she survives. Part of America's "Golden Generation," Bud left PeruHigh School in 1944 and joined the U.S. Navy to serve in World War II. His military decorations include the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars and the American Area Campaign Medal. Following his release from the military, Bud joined his father in the operation of Wallick Electric Motor Service, and he and his wife Dorothy owned and operated the family business until 1983. In 1980 he went to work at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and retired from Delco in March of 1993.
A man of great faith and integrity, Bud was a member of the OakdaleBaptistChurch. Bud was a caring and fun-loving man with a twinkle in his eye and a smile that would melt your heart. An ardent member of the Peru Amateur Circus, Bud was the vice president in charge of the AmericanTrustCircusCityCenter. Bud and his two working buddies, Ken Hasselkus and Homer Ferguson, could often be seen at the circus building either fixing a mechanical problem or building a new piece of equipment. Not only did Bud enjoy working at the circus building, but he also took a special interest in flying model airplanes. Bud was a member of the Mississinewa Skyhawks AMA Charter Flying Club. If the weather was decent, there was a good chance you'd find Bud flying one of his many airplanes around the club's private field, located in the heart of the Mississinewa Reservoir. Bud also was a member of the American Legion Glen Owens Post 14.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dorothy are four children, Charles W. Wallick and wife Suzanne, Salina, Kan., Gary A. Wallick, Monticello, Karen Ventura and husband Juan, Dallas, Texas, and Randy Wallick, Peru; eight grandchildren, Chad Wallick, Kristina Polk, Elizabeth Lee and husband Jim, Adam Wallick and wife Rebecca, Mark Ventura, Tony Ventura, Alison Quackenbush and Brittainy Wallick; and six great-grandchildren, Kylie Polk, Hunter Polk, Victoria Wallick, Shawnee Quackenbush, Sierra Quackenbush and Sedona Quackenbush. In addition to this parents, Bud was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
A service celebrating the life of Charles "Bud" Wallick will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru, with Pastor Robert Stuck officiating. Burial location will be disclosed during visitation. Military graveside services will be provided by members of the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Jimmy H. Beiter, 66, Peru, passed away at 9:12 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at SetonSpecialtyHospital, Kokomo. He was born Feb. 9, 1940 in Lexington, Ill. to Enos Franklin and Marie C. (Drummond) Beiter. His companion of 31 years, Barbara Berry, survives. Beiter retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was a Vietnam veteran. He loved collecting and selling antiques, and enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends at Deb's Diner.
Survivors besides his companion include seven children, Steve Beiter and wife Jenny, Fortson, Ga., Julie Menefee and husband Keith, Ossian, Jimmy F. Beiter and wife Tammy, South Bend, Barbara Smith, Saint Louis, Mo., Kevin Berry and wife Laura, Peru, David Berry and wife Teri, New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Thomas Berry and wife Jeannie, Fulton; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru, with the Rev. James Lund officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. Willadean L. Mann, 88, Kokomo, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007 at her residence. She was born on January 29, 1918 in MiamiCounty to William and Helen (North) Venis. In 1947, she married Lester F. Mann, who preceded her in death. Mann was retired from Delco and belonged to the EmmanuelFellowshipChurch, as well as the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by her daughter, Kanda Russo and companion Shawnda Johnson, Kokomo; three grandsons, Craig Russo, Flora, Bryan Russo, California, and Robert Johnson, Kokomo; great-grandchildren, Evan Russo, Carli Russo, Anna Russo, and Bella Russo; and two sisters, Kate Sumpter, Amboy, and Pauline Norris, Peru. Donald L. Cook, 57, Bunker Hill, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at St. VincentHospital, Indianapolis.
He was born on May 9, 1949 in Peru to Robert W. and Pauline (Glassburn) Cook. On June 3, 1972, Cook married Maxine J. Martin, who survives. Cook was employed at Krogers, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, golfing and spending time with his friends and family. Aside from his wife, Cook is survived by his father, Peru; several nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; great-great nieces; great-great nephews; father- and mother-in-law, Gene and Joyce Martin, Illinois; sister-in-law, Norma Watson and husband Denny, Iowa, sister-in-law, Janet Schnoor and husband Joe, Illinois; brother-in-law, Gail Martin, Illinois; brother, John Cook and wife Linda, Peru, and twin brother, Dan Cook and wife Rita, Peru. He was preceded in death by his mother; and one brother, Jack Cook.
