The first Cluster Level meeting was convened on 16/07/2015 at KV DRDO at 10:30 am on 16/07/2015.

The meeting commenced with the invocation by the students of the vidyalaya.

Welcome

The venue Principal, Dr. (Smt.) NutanPunj welcomed all the Principals and HMs with bouquets and welcome cards.

Review of minutes of third CMP Meeting conducted at KV KR Puram

Venue Principal congratulated all the cluster schools for the smooth conduction of all activities as planned .

Hindi Reading Cards: I

Hindi reading cards to be prepared to inculcate reading habits and improving the vocabulary of our students. It was decided that each cluster member school will conduct a workshop on 1st August 2015 for preparing the reading cards for one class and the same will be sent to Cluster in-charge school by 3rd August 2015. The following schools have been assigned to prepare the reading cards for the respective classes

The cards are to customized according to the requirements of our children with respect to the content. Ten cards of different topics to be prepared, soft copies to be sent to other schools and corrections if any can be done at school level. The computerization of the matter to be done using hindi Unicode and font size of 18.

It was suggested in the meeting to have a separate portal for the HMs of this cluster to interact.

Planning for the academic year 2015-16

FAs to be conducted on all Mondays as per instruction from the KVS regional office, Bengaluru.

FA 2/4 to be conducted systematically and can refer ZIET CCE package.

All other activities like Baldiwas, Mini sports, Grandparents day, cubs & Bulbuls Utsav and educational trips as per KVS schedule.

CCE recording and e-report card

ZIET software to be followed for CCE recording and e-report card. Members school voiced their concern about difficulties in certain areas while using the software. Appropriate assessment tools for FA and SA to be per KVS directions.

Management of student porfolios

Student portfolios to be maintained in folders. It should contain acheivements of students, art and craft work done by the children( guided and self done) ,participation and acheveiments in CCA etc. Teachers to maintain a portfolio consisting of worksheets sample TLM prepared and used, workshops attended, useful videos web links ,ppts prepared etc.

Reduction of weight of school bag

K.V.DRDO shared information about action research initiated by teachers under supervision of HMto get concrete steps to ensure the weight of school bag of children is reduced. Suggested points were:

i)Teachers to check the bags and contents on a regular basis.

ii)Parents to be made aware of the kind of bag to be purchased and regularly monitor what the child carries to school.

iii)The chair suggested that this can even be taken up as a school project.

Medical check up

To be done twice in an academic year. In most of the school it is already in progress.

Publication of news letter

Two Newsletters to be published in an academic year. Principals and HMs message can be reduced to one fourth. More space to be given for articles by students and teachers. Photos to be properly captioned.

Morning assembly

Morning assembly to be vibrant. Theme based, quality morning assembly to be presented. Innovative programmes to be planned and class teachers to personally monitor before presenting. The suggestive themes are: (a)Monday - Laughter, (b)Tuesday – Community singing, (c)Wednesday – Other Language, (d)Thursday – Yoga, (e)Friday – CCA.

Worksheet related decisions

Lesson wise, two worksheets to continue.

Monitoring system by the HM and Principal

Regular monitoring planned and records are maintained

Improvement in the ambience of the classes

Cleanliness of the class room, arrangement of furniture, Black board summary, display to be arranged subject wise systematically with good quality material. It should be error free and changed every month.

Class library

Classroom library to consist of books as per CMP ie., 1:3. Hindi book exhibition during hindi week celebration may be oragnised.

Any other points with permission of the chairperson.

25% of VVN to be earmarked to primary. Students visit to all the senior labs is suggested. Excursion / field trip to be conducted between November to January.

2nd CMP cluster meeting

The 2nd CMP Cluster meeting to be held at K V NAL on 22nd August 2015 at 1:30 pm.
