Conversations

Conversation 1: Keel-Raniur & Nedhelas. Only use if The Haunting is incomplete. Keel-Raniur gives Nedhelas advice about his sleeping problems.

Keel-Raniur: It looks unwell.

Nedhelas: Yeah, I’ll not feeling great. Haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep for days.

Keel-Raniur: That is not good. This one recommends taking something to aid in slumber. The Mazte is what this one prefers. So warm in the belly, so soothing and tasteful.

Nedhelas: I really don’t think that more… spirits will help with my problem.

Conversation 2: Keel-Raniur & Nedhelas. Use after The Haunting is complete. The two talk about the people passing through Caldera.

Nedhelas: You’d think a small town like this wouldn’t be so busy.

Keel-Raniur: This one is not surprised. The mines make Caldera grow, and there are important cities to the north and south.

Nedhelas: Well, better for us, eh? More people means more opportunities to make another Septim.

Keel-Raniur: Yes, especially if it keeps its eyes and ears open, and sees and hears what others do not.

Conversation 3: Falanaamo & Shenk. Shenk questions Falanaamo about his trade in the Summerset Isles.

Shenk: Were you in the clothing trade when you lived in the Summerset Isles, Falanaamo?

Falanaamo: Yes. Of course, the market is very different there. The demand was always for incredibly ornate and fancy outfits. On Vvardenfell, even most of the expensive clothing is much more practical.

Shenk: I guess that makes sense. You kind of need practical clothes on an island where even the damn weather might try to kill you.

Conversation 4: Falanaamo & Shenk. Falanaamo asks Shenk a question, and they drink to success in Caldera.

Falanaamo: Do you ever think about moving on again, Shenk?

Shenk: Nah. I’m old, already seen the world. Leave the grand adventures to the younger folks. Besides, I like what I have here.

Falanaamo: As do I. You do not come across a business prospect as good as Caldera every day.

Shenk: I’ll drink to that! To the growth of the town and a successful future for the both of us.

Mutterings

Mutterings 1: Nedhelas. Only use if The Haunting is incomplete. Nedhelas bemoans his lack of sleep.

Nedhelas: So tired… but… cannot go home. Maybe… maybe there’s pile of leaves somewhere that I can lie down in.

Mutterings 2: Elmussa Damori. Only use if The Caldera Spy is incomplete. Elmussa mutters about the amount of guards prowling the streets.

Elmussa Damori: Do they always have so many guards out there? Maybe I could try the west… though I don’t trust my chances in the swamps.

Mutterings 3: Falanaamo. Falanaamo voices his intentions to go drinking at Shenk’s Shovel.

Falanaamo: Think I’ll pay Shenk a visit tonight. Nothing like a mouthful of Flin to celebrate another successful day.

Mutterings 4: Hodlismod.Hodlismod comments on his work at the forge.

Hodlismod: I wish quality materials weren’t so pricey ‘round here. I could do wonders with some ebony from that mine.

Hodlismod: Hmm, stocks of silver weapons are runnin’ low. Better stoke up the forge and get workin’ on a new batch.

Mutterings 5: Irogla. Voices some thoughts on the Propylon Index (should only happen if the player has not bought it) and his “troubles” with Orcs.

Irogla: Not sure why I bought it. Magical properties, they said, but to me it just looks like a lump of stone.

Irogla: Damn those Orcs! It was a simple job, and they still screwed it up.

Mutterings 6: Valvius Mevureius. Valvius expresses his want of a drink, as well as paranoia about the collection of his debts.

Valvius Mevureius: Oh, for another taste of Cyrodiilic Brandy! My weakness, my curse, my greatest passion!

Valvius Mevureius: Haven’t seen any signs of the green brutes sneaking around outside. Better stay put, though – no sense in taking chances.

Mutterings 7: Surane Leoriane. Surane expresses vague frustration at the lack of progress in her mission. If possible, due to the sensitive nature of the topic, the player should be a member of the Blades.

Surane Leoriane: No problematic records, no irregular shipments… they’re careful. Very careful.
