Notice Of Race

ORGANIZING AUTHORITY:Kaneohe Yacht Club (KYC)

1. RULES: The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), prescriptions of US SAILING, the Kaneohe Yacht Club Standard Sailing Instructions and the International 14 Class & Fleet Rules, except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions.

2. ADVERTISING: Appendix J, section J2.2 (1) will apply, except that regatta sponsor logo’s may be required either on the hull or the mainsail.

3. ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY:

3.1 The class of boats for this race is the International 14.

3.2 The regatta is open to invited guests of the organizing authority, International 14’s with a valid measurement certificate and membership in a National organization.

3.3Eligible yachts may enter by completing and submitting a race entry form with the organizing authority. Race entry forms are to be submitted to the KYC prior to 10:00 hours Saturday, April2nd, 2016.

4. FEES: The entry fee of $350.00 per yacht is required with the completed entry form.

5.412:55 AMSunday April 3, 2016 Warning Signal (race four), race five and six to follow.

5.511:55 AMMonday April 4, 2016 Warning Signal (race seven), race eight to follow.

Make up races will be sailed at the discretion of the PRO should they become necessary.

5.66:00 PMMonday April 4, 2016 Awards Banquet at KYC Longhouse.

5.710:30 AMTuesday April 5, 2016 Skippers Meeting ‘Hawaii State Championship Pursuit Race’

5.811:00 AMTuesday April 5, 2016 First ‘Pursuit’ boat departs KYC, subsequent boats follow.

6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: The sailing instructions will be available at the Skippers Meeting.

7. VENUE: The event will take place at Kaneohe Yacht Club with sailing on the water immediately to the west of the club.

8. SCORING:

8.1The number of races scheduled for the series is eight (8). The number of races required to be completed to constitute a series shall be four (4). All races will be counted in the scoring.

8.2Appendix A – Scoring, Section A1 SERIES SCORE shall be modified to read ‘Each boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores.

8.3Appendix A4.1 Low Point System will be used.

8.4The Hawaii State Championship Pursuit Race is scored separately.

9. PRIZES: Prizes will be given at the Awards Banquet.
