A prominent Boston defense attorney has been convicted of money-laundering charges.

A federal jury today found Robert George guilty of conspiring to help a former client launder drug money for a fee.

George denied the charges and accused federal prosecutors of retaliating against him because he defended a man accused of plotting to kill a federal prosecutor in 2007.

George has had a long list of high-profile clients, including organized crime figures Francis "Cadillac Frank" Salemme and John Martorano. He also represented Christopher McCowen, a trash collector convicted in the 2002 murder of Cape Cod fashion writer Christa Worthington.

George was convicted of seven counts, including conspiracy, aiding and abetting and money laundering. Sentencing was set for Sept. 19.

Yesss! Justice at last!
Now go after the other high priced criminal attorneys in this state who use illegal drugs and make dirty deals.
One down -- more to go!

Is he incarcerated pending sentencing? If not, why? Why'd the sleazy mortgage broker who laundered the money skate? The guy didn't even testify.

Does anyone know the lawyer's name who defended George?
He should be next!
Good question -- is he incarcerated pending sentencing? He's a real flight risk.

Bob--they're not picking on you because you chose to defend a guy trying to off a prosecutor. They're picking on you because you chose to become as corrupt as the people you defend.

Reddington was George's lawyer. His winning percentage is a tad above JW Carney's.

I love this story. Surely he loses his law license and I have to think he'll do time.

Next time Big Feeling Bob is just about to get out of federal jail and drinking at a local West Roxbury pub bragging how all the cops are corrupt, he can mull over this in his cell, before he gets out- he is a DIRTY lawyer, unlike most of the legit defense lawyers who do their jobs as the system requires. His mightier than thou attitude did him in. What a phony

Kevin Reddington - a W/L record of about 2-25. Back to the minors, buddy.

From the Boston Globe:
Reddington called Dardinski a “prince of lies” in his closing argument, saying that he “lies faster than a horse can trot” and “wouldn’t know the truth if it fell on him.”
But Kaplan said, “This is a case about someone who was corrupted by no one else but his own greed.”
Reddington is calling this witness a prince of lies?
Reddington is one dirty bottom-feeder himself!

From the Barnicle Times;
George\'s lawyer argued that George was \"set up\" and called the government\'s investigation of George \"repulsive\" and a \"travesty.\"
\"Is this a man who was involved in money laundering? Or is this a man who was set up and we all know it?\" attorney Kevin Reddington asked the jury.
The media\'s non-coverage of the trial itself, was one step from criminal. When one has to go to Mass. Lawyers Weekly for trial updates something is very wrong here.
The verdict is what it is.
In the case of WorthingtonGate (The Government is behind this ASSASSINATION that Bob George EXPOSED.)
Of course Bob George was an FBI \"CoIntelPro\" TARGET, like we INNOCENT victims of this massive PUBLIC CORRUPTION SCAM are.
Time for some Devine Intervention and well deserved adjudications.

Very interesting comment.
"The media\'s non-coverage of the trial itself, was one step from criminal."
Agree!
Sleazy lawyer defending a sleazy lawyer. They both should be locked up forever.
