Junior Fitness Guidelines
The Kingsbury Club adheres to these guidelines to help ensure
the safety and well-being of our younger members.
Effective 11.4.15

10-11 year olds:

·  This group may participate in classes specifically designed for the younger athlete and are held in the group exercise studio with a certified trainer/instructor (see youth fitness schedule)

·  This age group may hire a personal trainer to work with them on the fitness floor after completing a medical clearance form.

·  This age group may also use the stretching area, turf and group exercise studios, when not in use, only when supervised by a parent/guardian.

12-13 year olds:

·  This age group must complete a medical clearance form and go through a 1st and 2nd evaluation with a trainer (included in membership).

·  If the member is not working with a trainer, the member must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

·  Workouts are restricted to the cardiovascular equipment (treadmills/ellipticals/bikes, etc.) and the Keiser strength circuit on 2nd floor. If the member has completed both evaluations & a trainer has placed the member on a program which allows for use of the other equipment, the member may utilize that particular equipment as well.

14-15 year olds:

·  This age group must attend the mandatory 1st and 2nd evaluations with a trainer (included in membership).

·  Use of the turf field is allowed at this age, but barbell benches and barbell squats must be supervised by a trainer on duty or a spotting partner.

·  Use of LifeFitness circuit equipment, Keiser circuit on 2nd floor and all cardio equipment is allowed, unsupervised, as long as both evaluations have been completed.

·  This age group may attend group exercise classes as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian.

16 years and older:

·  This age group must attend 1st & 2nd evaluations with a trainer (included in membership) then they may have full, unsupervised access to the fitness center, including all group exercise classes.
