Atlanta Southern Crescent Alumnae Panhellenic Association (ASCAPA)

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ & FOLLOW ALL OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

1. ELIGIBILITY:

a.  Only residents of the Southern Crescent area are eligible for this service (defined as counties of Fayette, Coweta, Clayton, Henry, Spalding and cities of South Fulton county).

b.  Carrollton Douglasville don’t have alumnae panhellenic associations, so residents of these municipalities ARE ELIGIBLE for rec assistance.

c.  Alumnae Panhellenic Association lists: www.npcwomen.org OR contact a Recruitment Committee co-chair listed below.

2. INSTRUCTIONS:

a.  Fill out the information sheet COMPLETELY & LEGIBLY using black or blue ink only.

b.  We need one “rec request packet” for each sorority at your university – see chart on page 2 of these instructions.

c.  If you already have a rec for a sorority at your college/university, then deduct that one from total # packets you submit to us & PLEASE attach a note saying you already have a rec from (_name of sorority_).

d.  Please use paper clips (no staples please!) to assemble each individual rec request packet.

e.  Do NOT use certified or registered mail because we cannot sign for items sent in that manner.

f.  If you cannot attend the Sorority Information Session on May 19th, then we must receive your paperwork by June 13th! After that date, we cannot guarantee help BUT we will try.

g.  If your college/university has deferred/winter/spring recruitment, contact a Recruitment Committee Co-Chairs listed below for a different deadline.

3. ONE “REC REQUEST PACKET” CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

a.  ASCAPA Information Form

Ø  Legibly and completely filled out.

Ø  Do not send back these instructions

b.  Photo:

Ø  Optional but strongly recommended -- they help a sorority recognize you!

Ø  No larger than 4x6.

Ø  Preferably color Head Shot with no one else in the photo.

Ø  DO NOT INSERT (cut & paste) YOUR PHOTO INTO YOUR RESUME! It must be a separate, stand-alone photo.

Ø  Computer-printed photos on photo paper are okay.

Ø  Be sure to neatly print your name on back of photo.

c.  Resume:

Ø  Provide only the information described on the ASCAPA information sheet.

Ø  DO NOT ADD EXTRA INFORMATION INTO YOUR RESUME!

Ø  DO NOT USE CARD STOCK OR SCENTED PAPER FOR YOUR RESUME!

Ø  Try to confine your resume to one sheet of paper – use of front/back sides & wider margins is okay.

d.  Envelope:

Ø  One stamped, blank #10 business-size envelope per rec request packet

Ø  Packets submitted after the June 13th deadline require two (2) stamped, blank #10 business size envelopes

Ø  DO NOT ADDRESS YOUR ENVELOPES!

Ø  Do not put any return address labels on your envelopes.

5. MAILING/DROP-OFF ADDRESS:

Ø  If hand-delivering your paperwork, please drop off after 2pm. Put all of your packets in manila envelope & leave in the mailbox. Don’t call or ring doorbell!

Ø  We must receive your paperwork by June 13th!

6. NUMBERS AND NAMES OF NPC SORORITIES AT YOUR UNIVERSITY:

Ø  You can find out the total number and the names of the NPC sororities by calling the Greek Life or Panhellenic Office at your university or by looking online.
