July 28 Grand Knight Report

  1. Patrick Martin’s Status. July 9th PGK Patrick Martin was admitted to Presbyterian Plano Hospital to re-start dialysis to help with fluid retention. July 16th he was transferred to Belterra Health & Rehabilitation Center, near Lake Forest and US 380 in McKinney across from Baylor Hospital. Address is 2170 Lake Forest Drive, McKinney, TX 75071 and phone number is (972)746-4548. His dialysis treatment schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:45 so the best bet is to visit on the weekend, Tuesday or Thursday. 16. Fundraising Toyota Stadium Events
  17. We, as a Council, have chosen to support many ministries within our Parish and our community. The Parish Angel Fund, various Pro-Life activities, Vocations, and Habitat for Humanity are just a few. Toyota Stadium commissions provide around $28,000 in net income which along with the net income from the Golf Tournament enables us to sustain these donations. I few our efforts as a means to an end. To sustain our efforts at Toyota Stadium we need around 25-30 volunteers for each event. There is a small group of “stand managers” who arrive early for setup and stay to complete the reconciliation at the close of the event. We are asking each Knight to commit to volunteering 4 times throughout the year for approximately 4 hours an event. Your spouse and any children over the age of 15 are also welcome to volunteer. Training and camaraderie provided!
  18. Bulletin Article. There will continue to be an monthly article to elicit Religious Education (RE) parents and kids to help at our events to defray some of their RE costs.
