4. Treasurer’s Report

  1. There were 750 books donated in memory Seth Rawicz and donated to SHIP.
  2. December had more deposits than disbursements.
  3. Great book fair.

5. Updates on JFK - Mr. Walsh

  1. The CD ‘Let’s Say Thanks’ was sent out to the troops overseas. Starting to get notes back from those who received it.
  2. An article for the book drive help in memory of Seth Rawicz was submitted to the newspaper.
  3. 2nd grade grant was very appreciated.
  4. Mural project in the hallway. There are approximately 20 students participating in this event with the teachers.
  5. Mrs. Sierveld will not be returning to school and will retire in May 2010.
  6. Participating in ‘Study Island’ and approximately 1500 schools in NJ are participating. The kids like the website.

  8. Two schools have stopped ASA. JFK will continue as far as we feel it is possible. This may be the last session of ASA.
  9. Teachers are required to have insurance to continue the programs.
  10. Teacher’s Report (Ms.Millers)
  11. Fourth grade has a class trip tomorrow to RVCC to see ‘Freedom Train’.
  12. Second grade has received a grant and will have a customized workshop based on Cultural Awareness.
  13. The classes are using NetBooks in the library in which they can access
  14. Kingergarten will be going to the Big Apple Circus in a couple months.

  16. Fish are doing well through the cold water. There is a 12” hole in the water that allows the gases to escape to allow for the fish to survive.

  40. The BOE expressed thanks and appreciation to the State Police, the local police, and the public in regards to the recent events at the high school.
  41. With a new governor this year, the budget might be delayed a bit this year.

  2. Used a new vendor this year and it went very smooth.
  3. Was consolidated to 3 days this year.
