- There were 750 books donated in memory Seth Rawicz and donated to SHIP.
- December had more deposits than disbursements.
- Great book fair.
5. Updates on JFK - Mr. Walsh
- The CD ‘Let’s Say Thanks’ was sent out to the troops overseas. Starting to get notes back from those who received it.
- An article for the book drive help in memory of Seth Rawicz was submitted to the newspaper.
- 2nd grade grant was very appreciated.
- Mural project in the hallway. There are approximately 20 students participating in this event with the teachers.
- Mrs. Sierveld will not be returning to school and will retire in May 2010.
- Participating in ‘Study Island’ and approximately 1500 schools in NJ are participating. The kids like the website.

- Two schools have stopped ASA. JFK will continue as far as we feel it is possible. This may be the last session of ASA.
- Teachers are required to have insurance to continue the programs.

- Fourth grade has a class trip tomorrow to RVCC to see ‘Freedom Train’.
- Second grade has received a grant and will have a customized workshop based on Cultural Awareness.
- The classes are using NetBooks in the library in which they can access
- Kingergarten will be going to the Big Apple Circus in a couple months.

- Fish are doing well through the cold water. There is a 12” hole in the water that allows the gases to escape to allow for the fish to survive.

- The BOE expressed thanks and appreciation to the State Police, the local police, and the public in regards to the recent events at the high school.
- With a new governor this year, the budget might be delayed a bit this year.
