Job Summary

Under the direction of the Practice Educator you are required to

  • Support the development of knowledge, skills and practice
  • Promote clinical effectiveness through evidence based practice
  • Implementand deliverthe Practice Education Training Plan

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Deliver skills based training in a variety of locations inline with the Practice Education Training Plan. This will include Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support and other skills as identified in the Training plan
  • Act as an assessor for the Health Care Assistant Development Programme and be responsible for facilitating and ensuring the achievement/assessment of vocational qualifications
  • Participate in the delivery of local MCNS Inductions as directed by the Practice Education Team
  • Develop & maintain relationships locally with key stakeholders to ensure access to equipment for training purposes
  • Participate in a range of development activities to deliver and promote clinical effectiveness and evidence based training.
  • Participate in a range of monitoring and evaluation activities to assess the quality and delivery of training under the direction of the Practice Educator’
  • Agree workload schedule in conjunction with the Practice Educator.
  • Ensure all regional skills and training is recorded inPractice Education Databases and HR Databases (e.g. kEM).

Qualifications, training and education / -Clinical qualification at first degree level and a post grad cert/diploma in PGCE/ PGDE teaching (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards a qualification.

Experience / - Healthcare background
- Post qualification
experience in specialist
palliative care and/or end of
life care and/or oncology.
