Job Title: Wellbeing Recovery Worker:

Location: Spider Project, 56 Hamilton Street, Birkenhead, CH41 5HZ

Hours: 35 per week

Annual Leave: 25 days p/a plus public holidays

Salary: £21,500 - £24,727 (negotiable and depending on experience)

Responsible to: Head of Project

Purpose of the position:

The key role of the post is to provide wellbeing recovery support to clients to enable ongoing abstinent recovery.

Scope:

The wellbeing recovery worker will work under the supervision of the Head of Project and the Project Manager to ensure that work requirements are completed accurately and within appropriate timescales.

Aims of the post:

1.  To support the ongoing development and abstinent recovery of individuals attending Spider Project.

2.  To offer one to one support to the Spider Project clients.

3.  To devise, implement and monitor well being recovery plans for individual service users of the Spider Project.

4.  To develop and deliver recovery focussed workshops that will help educate and inspire service users to explore and engage with the resources of the wider community.

5.  To support and assist clients to integrate into mainstream society and increase their employability and life chances.

6.  To support the ongoing development of Spider Project and its place in the wider community.

Key Tasks:

1.  To carry out initial assessments and further wellbeing assessments.

2.  To plan, develop and implement wellbeing recovery plans.

3.  To support and ensure agreed recovery goals and aspirations are met by clients engaging with Spider Project.

4.  To signpost and refer to appropriate external agencies and the wider mainstream community resources.

5.  To develop and facilitate recovery group workshops.

6.  To liaise and engage with other professionals and organisations to promote the work undertaken at Spider Project.

7.  To provide qualitative and quantitative reports for the Head of Project, feeding into all required Spider Project reporting systems.

8.  To liaise and engage with mainstream educational resources and employment agencies to promote the Spider Project and its membership.

9.  To fulfil database and administrative tasks relevant to the post and to the overall requirements of the project.

10. To devise and implement presentations to current and prospective project members, fellow professionals and the wider community, promoting the aims and objectives of Spider project.

11.To work as an integral team member of the overall Spider team.
