Job Title: Regional Fundraiser, Road Victims Trust (Beds, Cambs, Herts)

Contract: 12 months

Salary: £20,000-£24,000 depending on experience

Hours: Full time (part time considered)

Location: Home/Office (Kempston, Beds).

1.  Main Purpose of Job

To ensure that the fundraising plan is implemented and managed to support and deliver fundraising income in line with the aspirations of the Road Victims Trust

To achieve this by recruiting, supporting and facilitating the development of strong relationships with volunteers, supporters, community groups and associations, ex clients and their families.

To represent the Road Victims Trust fundraising, across Hertfordshire, Cambs and Beds in order to increase engagement, loyalty, fundraising and volunteer support of the Trust.

2.  Position in Organisation

·  Reports to Chief Executive

·  Direct Reports (None)

·  Internal contacts include working alongside admin and counselling colleagues as well as giving updates to the board of trustees.

·  External contacts include donors, supporters, corporates, volunteers, community groups, associations and ex clients families.

3.  Scope of Job

·  To raise an annually agreed income target through the use of a regional network of volunteers and supporters

·  To form, nurture and maintain excellent relationships with supporters and develop their contribution to the RVT by ensuring consistent excellent standards of recruitment, stewardship, management, motivation and through making the appropriate asks.

·  To grow awareness for the RVT service to maximise income opportunities

·  To galvanise support from the board of trustees and their networks

·  To be an active member of the RVT team through support to the Chief Exec

4.  Experience

·  Demonstrable fundraising experience (min 1 year) and expertise

·  A track record of delivering to an agreed income target

·  Experience of the recruitment and management of volunteers

·  Experience of forming, nurturing and maintaining relationships within local communities including individuals, groups and associations, corporates to deliver growth in income

5.  Skills

·  Confident and enthusiastic presentation skills and the ability to inspire

·  A very strong performance ethic, driven and motivated towards the achievement of targets

·  Excellent IT & written presentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), databases

·  Solid social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In) PR/Comms skills

·  Driving licence (essential)

6.  Duties and Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the delivery of annually agreed income

·  To manage a varied workload delivering annually agreed income across multiple community income streams to achieve targets and sustainable growth

·  Develop the regional fundraising plan to facilitate the implementation of the RVT fundraising strategy, in agreement with the Chief Exec.

·  Responsible for individual and contribution towards the fundraising income and expenditure targets, reforecasting, highlighting risks

·  Develop opportunities, implementing contingency plans where appropriate to ensure any fundraising gaps are filled

·  Set-up new income delivering ‘Friends Groups’ for the RVT

Developing and managing supporter relationships

·  Proactively working in the community to develop and foster relationships with new supporters identifying key local supporters and those with influence in the community

·  Form, nurture and maintain excellent relationships with existing supporters and volunteers to develop their contribution to the trust

·  Deliver excellent consistent standards of supporter recruitment, stewardship, management and motivation

To grow awareness of the RVT service

·  Utilise social media, web and local press to ensure all RVT activities, stories and opportunities are seen and promoted

·  Work in accordance to a planned calendar of fundraising and PR opportunities

·  Seek opportunities to represent the RVT at local events with prime target audience

Working with Volunteers

·  To recruit and manage volunteers in accordance with RVT volunteer policies

·  To line manage volunteers and interns ensuring they are set clear roles and responsibilities and are recognised for their work.

Working with Colleagues

·  To work with the Chief Exec, Trustees and contracted professionals to maximise partnership/supporter opportunities and to account manage relationships.

·  To develop a strong network of relationships across the counselling team staff and volunteers

Other

·  To enter data and to utilise data stored on the supporter database & market intelligence to shape fundraising activity to maximise opportunities

·  Ability to work some evenings and at weekends

·  Willingness to travel regionally

·  Access to a car and full driving licence
