The Quantitative Research Analyst in the Strategic Business Segments (SBS) group at Wells Fargo Asset Management will design and develop tools, models and other infrastructure to support and help grow key Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) business segments including Defined Contribution (DC) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), in addition to collaborating on research and development efforts related to the broader Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) organization. The ideal candidate for the role has a broader interest, outside of his/her direct responsibilities, in building out the WFAM business and brand.

Responsibilities:

·  Design, develop and improve the tools, models and other infrastructure that support and help grow key WFAM businesses segments including DC and ESG

·  Provide investment insight and quantitative research to support the development of new DC and ESG investment products, solutions, and thought leadership

·  Assist in building the tools, infrastructure and databases that support research and product development collaboration across the WIM organization and WFAM product adoption

Required Qualifications

3+ years of investment management experience

Other Desired Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or a related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred. CFA or ASA designation a plus

·  3-8 years of experience in investment management or software development

·  Exceptional quantitative, technical and analytical skills

·  Strong programming skills and development experience, preferably in SQL, Python and Matlab, and experience with development tools such as Git

·  Track record of intellectual curiosity and research innovation

·  Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
