JOB SUMMARY: Independently perform multiple administrative and financial tasks in support of the department.Coordinate administrative activities and prepare various reports.

1. Perform financial functions including billing, petty cash, and cash receipts, accounting for credit card charges. Utilize Institute financial system (BANNER) for departmental expenditures.
2. Record and monitor all problems and repair cost for dining hall equipment (via spreadsheet).
3.Maintain payroll records and associated files.
4. Participate in weekly Residence and Dining Hall maintenance meetings.
5. Maintain multiple records by creation and maintenance of database and spreadsheet files; access multiple Institute databases; generate reports from data.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3)years related experience
  • Must possess strong computing skills in the use of Internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience using Banner is desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have the ability to perform financial functions
  • Requires excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to compose correspondence and reports
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and demonstrate proficiency with advanced software
  • Requires excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal office conditions; work is fast-paced and demanding; noise level is usually moderate with some exposure to office machine noises; the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend and perform repetitive movements; the employee uses hearing and speech senses.
