Summary:

This position is located in our Grimsby, ON location and reports to the IT Director and will mainly provide be responsible for developing functionality for new business ideas, trends, and concepts in our Microsoft Dynamics Navision database. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong communication and multitasking skills. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in a fast–paced environment

Essential Duties (include but not limited to):

·  Design and code modifications to maintain our business information systems to improve company work-flow, production, efficiency, and effectiveness

o  Take Business Designs from Business Analysts for changes and prepare, document, and provide a technical design as required

·  Maintain and improve existing functionality

·  Collaborate with other developers to maintain all standards

·  Support users

·  Learn and maintain Red-D-Arc’s applications and business requirements of rapidly changing technology

·  Work closely with Red-D-Arc and Airgas IS team members

·  Work in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft SQL Server development environments

·  Additional related duties may be added to this position as technology; systems and functionality evolve and or change within the IT structure of Red-D-Arc

Qualifications & Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university in related field, or equivalent experience

o  Accounting, Finance and/or IS concentrations preferred

·  2+ years working with Navision C/AL

·  Strong knowledge of accounting

·  SQL knowledge is a plus

·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·  Attention to detail and solid organizational skills a must

·  Ability to document issues and document/suggest solutions

·  Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision

·  Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

·  Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and creatively solve problems
